SnowsportGB, the governing body for competitive skiing, snowboarding and freestyle, announce today the appointment of two key personnel.

Oliver Jones joins the board as Chairman, taking over from Ronald Duncan.
Jones, a director with Carillion Business Services, and joint owner of management consulting firm Babel Language Consulting Ltd, has an impressive track record of working with both large corporates and small entrepreneurial businesses.

In addition to this, Oliver is a dedicated competitor on the Cresta Run, and is an active member of the St. Moritz Tobogganing Club !!

Commenting on his appointment Jones states:

The progress achieved by the GB team in the field of alpine skiing,snowboarding and freestyle has been very impressive throughout the last decade. As we approach the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, being involved in
Snowsport GB represents a very exciting opportunity.

Jason Cockburn takes up the newly created post of Chief Executive Officer.
Cockburn has spent the last 10 years working in the media, holding a variety of commercial posts. The last 5 of these years being spent with BskyB in London, as part of the senior management team within their business division.

Commenting on his appointment Cockburn states:

I am absolutely delighted to be taking on this new role within SnowsportGB, and look forward to progressing the good work which has been done in recent years both on and off the slopes.
