Montgenevre Adds More
Wednesday, 18 August 2004
Montgenevre, the high altitude traditional resort on the Italian border and the only French resort on the cross-border giant 2006 Olympic Milky ay ski region, is adding more facilities for free riders this season.
Following on the from the opening of last season's new boardercross course, a new half pipe and free-ride zone will open on the Observatoire blck piste located in the Gourdrans sector on the Snow Front.
In addition a new Chairlit, Serra Grant, on the Monts de la Lune area will ease access on the slopes. It replaces two surface tows and further improves access between Montgenevre and the Italian resorts of the Milky Way lift-linked circuit (Claviere, Cesana and Olympic venues Sansicario, Sestriere and Sauze d'Oulx). This is a further improvement on top of the Tremplin quad new last season.
Artificial snow making, which has expanded rapidly in recent years, will be completed in the Prarial area.
Montgenvre operates hands free lift access and key card owners can charge up their tickets online.
