Arc 1950 Le Village Takes Shape
Tuesday, 31 August 2004
The third building, the four star Le Prince des Cimes, will open at Intrawest's Arc 1950 Le Village in Les Arcs, France, in December along with other new developments around the resort.
Le Prince des Cimes will be decorated in an Italian baroque style and will feature a French restaurant, hot tub and a cash machine. This residence will also offer outdoor and indoor swimming pools with relaxation areas, a fitness centre, hamman and sauna. Some of the 98 apartments will be suites, where guests will have the possibility of staying on a B&B, half-board or full board basis, a service normally only offered by hotels. The opening of the residence will bring the capacity of Arc 1950 Le Village to a total of 268 apartments and 1400 beds.
A new restaurant, located right on the piste, complete with a large terrace, will also open at Arc 1950 this winter. The restaurant will include an upstairs bar which will also be open late in to the night. The village will also have a new square "La Place de l'horloge", the parking area will be extended and there will be a two-storey kindergarten for children. Finally, the access slope to the residences will be changed to come right up to the heart of the village.
