Glenshee Ski Centre in Scotland will open this winter thanks to a management buy out.

The former owners of the centre, in the Eastern Highlands, went in to receivership in May after having put both it and another Scottish centre they owned, Glencoe in the western Highlands, on the market in February, but failing to find buyers. Glencoe was sold by the receivers in June.

The successful bidders are led by the resort's operations manager Graham McCabe. The two centres lost around �1m between them over the previous two winters (2002/03 and 2003/04).
