The Snow Centre, in Hemel
Hempstead, will play host to a free extreme sports event on Sunday 31st
July, featuring a range of activities for snowboarders, skiers, skaters and
general thrill seekers.
The all-day extravaganza will take
place both inside and out, with the fun kicking off at 10.00am. Skaters will be
able to let loose on a mini skate ramp, while snowboarders will be able to rip
up the indoor freestyle park and take part in a K2 Ollie Pop competition.
There’ll be balancing boards and a snowboard simulator for training, an
outdoor jib demo and a big screen showing the latest and greatest ski and
snowboard films.
For the less well-initiated
there’ll be fun activities for the whole family, including a rodeo
bull, a bungee run and a roving masseur to loosen up stiff muscles. A barbeque
and buffet will be available and top DJs will provide a laid back soundtrack to
the adrenaline fuelled day.
Ian Brown, managing director at The
Snow Centre, said: “We’re hugely excited about putting on the
extreme event this Sunday and we hope to welcome everyone from seasoned
freestyle fanatics to complete beginners, and even those just looking to chill
out, relax and have a bit of fun with their family. It’s completely free
to attend so if you’ve never visited us before, then it’s the
perfect opportunity to see what all the fuss is about.
