It is hard for us to believe for us that anyone has never seen or heard of snowboarding. But if you have no idea what we are talking about then think of Snowboarding as surfing on snow. That is basically what it is: people strap on a board under their feet and use gravity to go downhill a snowy slope. Snowboarding technique is closer to skateboarding and surfing than skiing even though most people compare it to skiing. The key is to surf with both feet strapped to a board down a ski slope while maintaining balance. By shifting weight on to the heel- or the toe-edge of the board one can turn either left or right.
 
 
Can this site teach me?

This site is all about snowboarding. It provides news, reviews and a whole host of other useful information. However, it can't teach you how snowboard properly. That's why you need to find your local slope and book a lesson.
