"Direct from the UK to the heart of the Alps..."

Swiss International Air Lines is committed to ensuring that UK skiers can get to their favorite European resorts quickly, in comfort and for the right price for the 2004 ski season. The 2004 winter timetable, which launches 26th October 2003, features regular flights from several major UK airports to Geneva, Zurich and Sion. All these flights will be bookable via the ifyouski flight search engine, where everyone is guaranteed lowest fares.

Sion - Direct to the Alps from just 158 including tax
Responding to continued demand from British skiers for a direct connection to the popular Swiss Valais Region, Swiss International Air Lines will resume direct seasonal winter flights each Saturday from London Heathrow to Sion from 20th December through to 17th April, 2004 from just 158 including taxes.

Sion is conveniently located for the resorts of Crans Montana, Verbier, Zermatt and Saas Fee. These new flights mean that SWISS is currently the only airline that flies direct to Sion from the UK. SWISS' new scheduled flights will operate every Saturday, departing London Heathrow at 1300, arriving Sion at 1555. From Sion, departures are at 1115, arriving London Heathrow at 1210.

Zurich and Geneva - Frequent and Convenient
SWISS continues its daily flights from the UK the two key ski airports of Zurich and Geneva. There will be 15 daily flights to Zurich; six from London Heathrow, four from London City, three from Birmingham and two from Manchester. In addition there will be four flights a day from Heathrow to Geneva.

Prices will be as follows:

  • London Heathrow/London City - Geneva from 77 including tax
  • London Heathrow/London City - Zurich from 91 including tax
  • Manchester - Zurich from 117 including tax
  • Birmingham - Zurich from 117 including tax

Not only does SWISS know how to safely transport ski equipment, taking ski and ski boots for free, but the airline also offers a convenient Fly Rail baggage service for passengers flying to Zurich or Geneva. All the passenger needs to do is check in their bags at their UK departure airport as normal and for a small charge the luggage will be delivered straight to the holiday resort in Switzerland, avoiding the wait at the luggage carousel.

This winter, Swiss offers 27 daily flights from the UK and Ireland to Switzerland, as well as the weekly Sion flight. "Our fares are combinable, too, so a passenger can choose to fly out from his/her office in the city and then back to London Heathrow, if he/she lives in west London for example," said SWISS General Manager UK, Ireland and the Nordics, Richard Castle. The airline has also abandoned the restrictive Saturday night rule and is offering very competitive air fares to Switzerland.
