It�s also incredibly boring so, fortunately, the British Universities Dryslope Championship hosted a freestyle competition in conjunction with the racing. Student snowboarding has long been regarded as a bit of a joke by the UK boarding community: a bunch of wannabes in it for the excessive drinking and cheap holidays. This stereotype may have to be revised after BUDS 2004 with a plethora of sponsored student riders raising the bar.
