Need a lift after the working week? Slope off for a skiing weekend, says Sean Newsom
It�s the perfect midwinter pick-me-up. There you are, sitting at your desk at the end of the week, the grey skies overhead barely clearing the roof of the building, feeling as though you�re living in a cave. And then, suddenly, you�re whisked away to a high-speed world of snow and adventure. It�s all go, go, go: you rush to the airport, rush to the resort, rush to the top of the lift system, rush to the bottom again. In between, there�s just enough time to marvel at the scenery, down a few beers and share some laughs with your skiing buddies. And then it�s go, go, go back home again in time for work on Monday.
