Soltex 04 the UK�s biggest ski, snowboard and extreme sports trade show awarded a new product to the industry.

Bourne out of neccessity, functionality and pure aesthetics, creator Jon Taylor a Creative director, used to solving clients advertising problems, had one of his own.

Being a surfer since the early 70�s and collecting boards through different eras of the evolution of surfboard design, there was no simple and pleasing way of storing and protecting his sticks which held certain memories of surf trips.

So he set about designing something that wasn�t another ugly bracket sticking out of the wall, but a functional piece of art.

�Surfing to me is an art form expressed on one of natures most beautiful canvasses, the surfboard design is in total empathy with it, that is why my invention had to reflect these values in its design.�

After my first prototype I realised that the potential went far beyond just surfboards, including sail, snow, kite and wake boards.

We are now working on a prototype for ski�s and mountain boards, so any feed-back from those areas would be great.
