The Gosling Sports Park in Welwyn Garden City has unveiled plans for the development of a new �5.5m sports facility.
The centre will be located in Gosling�s existing tennis centre and will link both new and existing buildings.
Chief executive Duncan Kerr said: �We�re delighted to announce the project. Gosling has reached the point in its history where something positive and dynamic needs to happen in order to cement our long-term future. The increased income generated will offer even further expansion opportunities.�
The facility will feature a new 120-station fitness suite; a spa complex with spa pools, saunas and steamrooms, as well as five treatment rooms; a 52-bay golf driving range; three aerobics studios; new changing rooms; a sports retail outlet and new offices and reception area.
Construction work, subject to planning permission, is hoped to begin early next year.
There is no mention of any changes to the existing Dendix slope
