The Swatch TTR World Snowboard Tour continues it's significant development as the Tour rocks into Tokyo, Japan, for the second Swatch TTR SIX(6) STAR event on the 07/08 season, the Nissan X-Trail Jam No less than 75,000 spectators are anticipated to fill the Tokyo Dome on Saturday and Sunday to see nine of the same riders who participated in last weekend’s history breaking Nokia Air & Style square off yet again.

Taking fourth in Munich, Swatch team rider David Benedek(GER) and the Swatch TTR World Snowboard Tour patron, Terje Haakonsen(NOR) greeted snowboarding fans in a signing session at the newly opened N.G. Hayek Center in the Ginza district, Tokyo.

"Japanese Snowboarding has always had a big impact in the world of snowboarding," said Haakonsen, "Great riders and huge events. I've always been stoked to come, ride and celebrate snowboarding in this part of the world. We are also very pleased to have the chance to present the Tour in the new N.G. Hayek Center as a continued relationship with Swatch." he concluded.

Bill Shin, Brand Manager of Swatch Japan, hosted snowboarding media representatives for an informal and informative press conference presenting the newly announced Swatch TTR World Snowboard Tour, welcoming it to Japan. As a demonstration of fraternity, Haakonsen and Benedek signed a limited edition Swatch TTR World Snowboard Tour watch, only 400 made, to go up for auction to the highest bidder at the Nissan X-Trail Jam and then on display at the H.G. Hayek Center in the Ginza, Tokyo.

All proceeds of this auction will go to a charity to support victims of a horrific earthquake in Nigata and Chuetsu Oki last July. "Swatch Japan is pleased to endorse the idea of helping those people who suffered due to this natural disaster." said Bill Shin, "Contributing their name sends a message of special relationship between Swatch and the TTR World Snowboard Tour. Respecting Terje and David's initiative to respect the spirit of helping all those people who support the sport. Nagata and Nagano areas are the heart of snowboarding in Japan. This money will go towards helping the 44,000 damaged and displaced people of this area."  

The Swatch TTR World Snowboard Tour continues it's growth in Japan with the Swatch TTR SIX(6) STAR Nissan X-Trail Jam, the FIVE(5) STAR Nissan X-Trail Nippon Open and the THREE(3) STAR JSBA Championships.

The snowboard world holds it's breath with Swatch TTR Top 10 movement guaranteed as the World's best riders go head-to-head over this weekend in the combined Quarterpipe and Big Air format at the Tokyo Dome in downtown Tokyo, Japan.
