The new resort, owned by the state of South Korea and the Japanese Matsui Gaming Group, covers and area of 6.6 square kilometres. Auystrian lift manufacturer Doppelmayr have reportedly received one of their largest ever orders to build 10 lifts for the new resort including five detachable chairs (two quads, three six seaters), four eight seat gondolas and a surface lift.

Work on the ski area is scheduled to begin next spring with the opening including most of the planned lift to follow for winter 05-06. The year-round resort complex will also include a casino, golf course and theme park.
